Job Description

As a Logistics Case Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing files from A to Z. This is a varied role combining logistics, inspection, administration, quality management and customer contact.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Organising and monitoring the entire logistics process, from the port of loading to the final destination, including inspection and/or control activities both domestically and internationally.
  • Initiating and following up on laboratory testing in accordance with ISO 17020 guidelines.
  • Correctly applying the requirements arising from purchase and transport contracts, government regulations and internal procedures, including customs regulations, environmental requirements and our quality and operational manuals.
  • Translating client instructions into clear and accurate assignments for inspectors.
  • Collecting and analysing relevant information to make well-informed decisions throughout the process, including vessel positions, unloading schedules, transport and inspections.
  • Preparing and providing interim reports to clients and relevant government authorities.
  • Preparing, managing and archiving files in a complete and accurate manner.
  • Advising clients on any complications, deviations or issues that may arise during the process.
  • Reporting and following up on claims and complaints in consultation with the Managing Director.
  • Maintaining strong and professional relationships with clients.

Your Profile

  • You have at least a secondary technical education (TSO) diploma.
  • You have relevant industry knowledge and approximately 10 years of experience in the sector.
  • You have knowledge of quality management systems and the ISO 17020 standard.
  • You work accurately, systematically and independently.
  • You are well organised and able to manage multiple files and deadlines simultaneously.
  • You have strong communication skills and a customer-oriented approach.
  • You are able to respond quickly and effectively when circumstances within a file change.
